This is one presentation that I discussed sometime back in lab meeting. It is about an article that appeared in Science magazine in 1987, written by F.H. Westheimer.

The article is about the theoretical aspect discussing why Phosphate are best group selected by Nature and are present in the main constituent of life DNA and RNA.

Just think of 'Why only phosphate group was selected by nature while some other could also have been there (like ester, amide or other linker). It is discussed in slide.
